A GD 2.0 copy of X-Men #28 had a value of $14 in 2004 and can get closer to $40 today. FN 6.0 have seen their price increase to nearly $80. The highest graded copy to ever sell was a 9.8 that sold for $4,700 2013.

Why is this comic book valuable?

X-Men #28 introduces two new villains: Banshee, and The Ogre as well as a new criminal organization Factor Three. The issue is also known for a contentious editorial mistake which caused Beast to, apparently, mock Jean Grey. Additionally, another editorial goof in this issue caused Banshee to be male instead of female.
