Marvel horror stories from the Golden Age of Comics! See what copies that are floating around are selling for by using our online price guide!

Adventures Into Terror

Adventures Into Terror was the rebranded name of Joker Comics, an anthology mystery series from the 50s. After issue #42, Joker Comics’ issues #43 and #44 continued that numbering but are chronologically issues #1 and #2 of this series. Regular numbering resumed with issue #3, released in April 1951.

After the renaming, the series started featuring horror and mystery tales, including some supernatural elements, such as werewolves and zombies.

The Adventures Into Terror series was launched along with Unknown Worlds, doubling Marvel's science-fiction line.

It was one of five anthology series canceled together in 1954, reducing Marvel's science-fiction line from 13 books to eight.
