Despite what its title and font on the cover might suggest Mystery Comics is not a horror comic. Its an anthology comic that features super heroes, space heroes, medieval heroes, and jungle heroes. The most notably hero of the 4 issues that were published in 1944 is a Golden Age version of Wonder Man. The man with a large "W" on his chest appears on the covers of all 4 issues. From time travel to battling Nazis this brief Golden Age gem is a perfect reflection of the time it came from.

The upper mid condition value of this issue was set when a CGC graded VF- 7.5 went for $2,640 in November 2023. This is quite a decrease from its $3,240 in June 2022. A FN+ 6.5 was sold for $2,040 in December 2022 which is an increase from its 2019 price tag of $840. The VG/FN 5.0 went for $1,500 in January 2022 while a VG+ 4.5 was sold for $1,551 in June 2022. A GD/VG 3.0 went for $285 in July 2016.
