X-Men #11

Marvel // X-Men

Published May 1965

This story continues over into the next edition and introduces the X-Men to the character known as 'The Stranger'.

The presence of The Stranger is first discovered by Professor X, who believes him to be a powerful mutant. This leads the X-Men to go and try and find the Stranger.

The Stranger has other ideas and is out in New York, where he is compelled to walk through a wall and discover Magneto and The Brotherhood.

Magneto tries to encourage The Stranger to join his Brotherhood and to entice him. Both Magento and Mastermind put on a display of their powers.

Unimpressed, The Stranger changes the Molecules in the body of Mastermind to solid matter, and he crashes through the floor, causing a disturbance of which the X-Men hear about and rush to the location.

After an electrifying battle, the Stranger leaves using his vortex and Magneto, and Toad go with him.

However, realising that The Stranger could be a more significant threat than Magento, the X -Men go and find him. Upon doing so, the Stranger informs them that he is not a mutant but from the stars.

He then takes Magento and Toad to his world to examine their mutant abilities for himself.
