Green Lantern

Green Lantern was one of DC’s first successful superhero stories, with several volumes released after this one.

The story followed Alan Scott, an engineer that survives an explosion due to the green lantern he was carrying. Alan crafts a ring from the lamp and uses it to become Green Lantern and fight both crime and evil.

This was the first volume for the series, but the most famous Green Lantern is Hal Jordan, the protagonist of volume 2 (and onwards). Regardless, volume 1 set the base for one of the most successful DC comics.
