Story Synopsis

This comic talks about the return of Green Goblin and how he takes revenge on Spider-Man for the present state of Harry.

The story unfolds with Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson at Harry’s bedside, watching him being given a tranquilizer to offset the effect of the LSD he had taken earlier.

Later, Norman is also seen blaming himself for failing as a father, and in a fit of rage and desperation, he finds the long-lost Green Goblin paraphernalia. He takes on the Goblin Persona and kidnaps Gwen from Harry’s apartment.

Upon arrival at the apartment from Daily Bugle, Spider-Man finds that Green Goblin has kidnapped Gwen. His Spider-Sense leads him to the George Washington Bridge, where he finds Green Goblin standing next to a motionless Gwen.

A fight ensues, and Green Goblin knocks Gwen off the side of the bridge. Spider-Man tries to catch her with his webbing, but her neck breaks, and she dies instantly.

The story ends with a vengeful Spider-Man raising his fist into the air and vowing to destroy Green Goblin for killing the woman he loved.
