Meet Blonde Phantom for the first time! See what copies that are floating around are selling for by using our online price guide!

All Select Comics

Timely Comics started out with huge success due to their “adventure” and “animation” bullpen comics. Timely’s founder Martin Goodman sold almost 900,000 copies of the first issue ever published by Timely, and decided to bring on talents such as Jack Kirby and Syd Shores.

They started releasing different stories, all under the umbrella of Timely Comics. The superheroes were quickly liked by the audience, and they enjoyed a few years of high sales on basically any story they decided to publish.

Near 1945, the superheroes were falling out of fashion, so Timely decided to look for luck in new genres, such as horror, westerns, teen humor; and to feature female heroes to attract girls and young women to comics.

For that reason, All Select Comics was renamed after the 11th issue, to Blonde Phantom Comics, now featuring a secretary who fought crime at night.
