What's Action Comics #2 worth in 2024?
The value of Action Comics #2 in Mint condition doesn’t exist that we know of. If a CGC NM+ 9.6 copy came up for sale, we think it could sell for $400,000 to $500,000. Currently, the highest graded copy (unrestored) is a CGC VF- 7.5 which last sold for $95,000 in May 2017. On the CGC Census, there are 42 copies and only 20 of them are unrestored. This is a very scarce comic and thus values are harder to determine in any grade. Low grade copies sell for a minimum of $20,000 if they are complete and unrestored.
Why is this comic book valuable?
Action Comics #2 was published in 1938 and continued Superman’s adventures. It features the 2nd appearance ever of Superman in comics as well as Lois Lane. Action Comics was primarily an anthology featuring different characters in their own stories, but soon, Superman dominated the comic and it became known as a Superman title beginning with Action Comics #15.
