Golden Age Super Hero Comics
Prize Comics began in the Golden Age during the first Super Hero boom in 1940. Its pages were filled Super Hero stories, some with a Sci Fi focus. However as most booms do the popularity of Super Heroes faded slightly. Possibly because of the success of Simon and Kirby's romance and crime books. It was renamed Prize Comics Western in 1948 at issue #69.
