What does Quality Comix charge to consign books to them?
Quality Comix works on a sliding scale so that the greater the sale price of a book, the smaller the percentage charged.  Our consignment fees are as listed below:
$1 - $49 = $5.00
$50 - $99 - 10%
$100 - $499 = 9%
$500 - $999 = 8%
$1,000 - $4,999 = 7%
$5,000 - $9,999 = 6%
$10,000+ = 5%

What's the process for me to consign books to Quality Comix?
In the near future, (April 2007), we plan on having an automated system, where you can upload and track your consignments. Right now, just email your list of books you plan to consign to info@qualitycomix.com. We'll contact you back to request scans for consignments, and asking prices if necessary. Then Quality Comix will list the books on the site in whichever section you choose (Catalog or Auction section) or schedule it for our next ebay auction.

How can I check on the status of the bids I've placed in the current auction?
Click on the "my account" menu link and login if necessary.  Then click on the "Auction Bids" link on the left side to view all your current bids.  You can can also raise your bids here as well.

Does Quality Comix charge any fees to buyers?
There are no fees that Quality Comix charges per se.  However, any credit card payments will be charged an additional 2.5%.  There are no other fees that the buyer pays except for normal shipping charges.

I won an auction, how do I pay?
Click on the "my account" menu link and login.  Click on orders on the menu along the left side and then click on the order you wish to pay for.

How do I update my address or other personal information?
To update your address and other personal info, click on the "my account" menu link and then click on the profile link on the left side to update any information that has changed.

How do change my preferences so I stop receiving so many emails from Quality Comix?
Email preferences can be accessed from the "my account" menu link.  Then click on the appropriate emails that you no longer wish to receive.  Please allow 24 hours for these changes to take effect.

How can I ensure that no shill bidding is taking place on Quality Comix auctions?
Shill bidding is a practice where the seller bids on his own books thru an alias login id or thru a friend who is willing to "bid up" his books.  There is no way to fully prevent shill bidding.  To minimize this problem, we have implemented the following security measures. #1) We track the IP Address of every bidder and seller of our auctions so that if an auction is suspect, we will check the IP Addresses of the bidders to see if any IP Addresses match up with the seller's IP Address.  #2) We will post all of the bidders login ids at the end of the auction but only bidders in that auction can view the other bidders in that auction.

What about pressing? I don't want to buy any books that are pressed
There is no way to determine definitively if a book has been pressed or not.  That being said, any book that Quality Comix has pressed will be noted in the catalog or the auction in which it is being sold.  Seller's are required to fill out a disclosure form which binds them on the honor system to disclose which books if any, have had pressing done to them or any other work for that matter.  If a seller discloses pressing, it will be noted in the catalog or auction for that book.

What's your return policy if I find out there is restoration on a book?
Quality Comix has a return policy of 2 years after the date of sale to return a book that has been determined to have restoration on it.  After restoration has been confirmed, a prompt refund will be issued, as long as the book is in the same condition as when it was sold originally.  This 2 year return policy only applies to the buyer of the book off our website.

What's your return policy if I'm not satisfied with the condition of the book or for any other reason than restoration?
Quality Comix has a return policy of 14 days from the date shipped to contact us about a return.  After you contact us, we must receive the book within 7 business days.  A prompt refund will be issued minus the shipping that you paid.
